Global Education for a rural community
Educating in a rural community
How often do you ask yourself -how will we prepare our students for the ever changing globalized world?
How can I help my students better understand the important role they have in our globalized world?
Why do my students need to know what we teach them?

How can we connect our students to people around the world?

How can we teach them to see how interconnected our world is?

How can we teach the skills and nurture the dispositions that will allow our students to see through a broader lens?
It is more important now than ever for educators in rural areas to globalize their classrooms. It is a way to allow our students to see the light of opportunity and to feel connected to communities around the world. By adapting global competencies into your curriculum, you will better prepare our students for the questions we have yet to know will be asked of them. Our rural communities are precious and its important for our students to recognize how they fit into the global puzzle.
